How this site handles your information

If you join the newsletter

• We keep your email address, the page or episode you signed up from, and the date.
• We send one email asking you to confirm. Until you confirm, you get nothing else. Every email after that has an unsubscribe link.
• Your address is held by Brevo, our email provider, in the European Union.

Analytics

• We use Google Analytics (Google, USA) to count visits and see which pages and links are used. The page address we send has query strings removed, except campaign tags (UTM). It is not loaded on our admin pages.
• We also record the page view in Mindspan’s own analytics, stored in Australia: the page path, the site that referred you and any campaign tags.
• Two first-party cookies, shared across Mindspan’s own sites on mindspan.com.au: a random visitor ID (ms_vid), and a note of how you first arrived — source, campaign, first page and the day (ms_ft, kept 90 days). The visitor ID is never sent to Google Analytics. Google Analytics sets its own cookies.
• If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, none of this runs: Google Analytics does not load and no page view is recorded.
• We never record what you type into a form, and we do not use advertising cookies.

Other things on this site

• Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser only.
• Episode pages embed YouTube videos. YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies when a video loads.
• The site is hosted by Vercel (USA), which processes each request to serve the page.

• We do not sell or share your information with advertisers.
